The Waterfall Excursion

Going to a waterfall has been on the agenda for awhile, and on Sunday afternoon Wayne and I decided the time had come. We got directions as best we could from David, and set off. It was a nice drive, but unfortunately we turned too soon and ran into some trouble.

We still enjoyed the experience and might go back another time when we have more time to attempt the two kilometer incline… or whatever it is that awaits.

Luckily for us David and Lize were around to babysit the next day and showed us the ropes. Made it to the waterfall without ever having to leave the paved path! It was awesome, I can’t wait to go back.

the flowers in the koi pond came alive again!

now that’s a waterfall!

getting adventurous

headband handoff (oh, and though there are no pictures, let it be known that lize was actually the first brave soul to dive into the rapids)

such elegance!

haha… a good attempt anyway. david caught a bug?

my attempt at being artistic… the waterfall turned sideways?

In other news, tomorrow is Songkran, Thailand’s big water festival that I understand involves going in the street and unloading a water pistol on the masses. Looking forward to it!
